Health Benefits of Whole Body Vibration Platforms

1. Increased Circulation: Studies have shown that even one session of full body vibration therapy improve circulation (1) and blood distribution in small blood vessels and capillaries. If you lead a sedentary lifestyle your circulation will not be great, which can lead to significant health issues.
2. Helps Increase Bone Density: This has been shown in many clinical studies and helps improve bone health. (4) The action of vibrating breaks down the muscle cells and when they rebuild, they become stronger. The vibration also excites the osteoblasts that are in the bones, which are responsible for bone growth. The more the osteoblasts are excited, the stronger that the bones get. Vibrating increases this effect while you are exercising to help give your body the maximum of benefits. (6)
3. Lymphatic Drainage: Vibration therapy increases the flow of lymphatic fluid. The lymphatic system is your ‘waste disposal system’ but doesn’t have a pump like the heart does to pump blood. Without movement the lymp system can become toxic which can lead to many serious health problems.
4. Wakes up Sleeping Muscles: Muscles that haven’t been used in awhile are stimulated with vibration therapy, important for strength and balance.
5. Very helpful as a pre workout warm-up or after workout cool down. A vibration plate session after a workout has been shown to reduce the day-after soreness often experienced after a hard workout. (2) Vibration Therapy before a workout prevents injury to joints, muscles and ligaments and improves workout performance. (3) After workouts it can be very beneficial and relaxing to lay on the floor with your legs resting on the vibration platform.
6. Increases tone in posture muscles which can be an issue for people that sit too much. Poor posture can cause problems like back pain, spinal misalignment, subluxations and poor posture.
7. Improve Flexibility: Pliant muscles and resilient ligaments allow the body full range of motion and protect joints from injury. Stretching on the vibration plate increases flexibility and enhances the retention of the flexibility gains vs stretching without vibration. (5)
8. Tendon Strengthening & Rehabilitation – Tendons connect muscles to bones but receive less blood flow than muscles so can take a lot longer for rehab or strengthening. The rapid repeated muscle contractions with vibration therapy can speed up this process dramatically, strengthening and restoring injured tendons, prevent further injury, and helps strengthen tendons. Faster recovery results in less chance of formation of scar tissue.
9. Vibration therapy exercises the neuromuscular system and improves its functionality. Muscle contraction also improves nutrient and oxygen supply to nerve cells, reinforcing their performance. Vibration exercise improves the overall condition of the peripheral nervous system, resulting in balance, motor skills and gait improvement and is an effective treatment for peripheral neuropathy, Parkinson’s, nerve pain and cerebral palsy.
10. Improved skin health. Vibration therapy enhances the circulation system for the supply of oxygen and nutrients needed for skin health, and discharge of metabolic wastes. It also promotes the functionality of the endocrine system to produce needed hormones and special proteins like collagen needed for healthy skin.

LifePro is having a sale this week for Memorial Day – 15-20% off site wide. All of their platforms include a lifetime warranty which tells you a lot about the quality. I have the Rumblex Plus 4D but all of the platforms are excellent.
I didn’t realize there are so many options to choose from with the vibration plates. Is there one that is most recommended or is it just personal preference and price range?
Angie, Is this the brand of vibration machine you recommend?
yes, i put the links in the post, it’s the only one i’d recommend and the one I use
Thank You
Quick question! What’s the best approach for someone with lymphedema?

I have a rumbles. Need to start using it again.
Yeah you have to make room for it in your schedule at the same time daily or it will get left out then we waste time doing something like scrolling on FB that doesn’t really benefit us at all.
